It's a Plant Holder!

Hey everyone!  Hope your Monday has been great!  We have had some computer issues going on at The Waits household, so I was not able to do my Easy Menu Monday.  Sorry!  Hopefully next week things go better!  If I had a new hard drive things would be great and we may have to get a new one soon.  I highly recommend backing up pictures and videos.  Also, anything you do on your blog!  I am sure most of you back up everything already, but for us procrastinators it takes something happening to get done what needs to be done!

I am going to share with you the plant holder I did last week.  I had an old bathroom metal shelf that I had been hanging onto and decided it would be great for holding plants.  Here is a before of the shelf:

We had some left over blue spray paint and I thought, why not!
Then we hung it up on the back fence with a couple of wood screws.
Looks good right?  Next we needed some planters.  I got 3 plastic planters and we screwed those into the fence because I did not want them to fall off since the planter is up high on the fence.
These are ready for some plants!

I love it!  We left a space for another planter if I want one, but for now there is a birdhouse that my son and I made together sitting there looking good.  I can see this from my backdoor and it makes me smile every time!  I love reusing things from around the house and making them shine again and giving it a new purpose!  What have you reused around your house lately?

Spring is in the air

I love Spring!  Everything coming back to life and beaming for all to see!  I cannot wait for all of our plants to show us their color.  Plus, I cannot wait to do some new mulching, planting and decorating the yard up!  Woo-hoo!  Here are a few pictures of our yard eager to bloom.

Red Tip Photinia have already bloomed.  Love them so much.  Cannot wait till we can shape these into small tree like shrubs.

A friendly and beautiful moth stopped by and said hey, I think I will stick around here for awhile!  Haha!

 English Ivy
Oh, Little Blooming Zoey!  She is the prettiest in the garden!  With a touch of pizza sauce on her nose!

I look forward to sharing more pictures when these are in full bloom!  Yipee  for Spring Time!

Easy Menu Monday

Grandma's Spaghetti

Ingredient's:
1 box thin spaghetti noodles
2 cans Hun't tomato sauce
1 yellow onion
1 tablespoon butter or parkay

My Grandma used to make this all the time when I was growing up.  It was one of my favorites!  She used to make it as a side with sausage, but I have it as the main dish with a side of homemade garlic toast.

1. Dice onion into small pieces.  Sometimes I only use half the onion.  It just depends on how strong you want the onion taste.

2. Melt butter in pan and put in onion.  Saute for about 5 minutes or until tender.

3.  Turn down heat and pour in Hunt's tomato sauce(both cans).  Just simmer on low heat.

4.  Cook thin spaghetti as directed on box.  I use 1/2 to 3/4 of the box.  It depends on if you want more saucy spaghetti or less saucy spaghetti.  Drain and put back into pot.

5.  Pour sauce over spaghetti noodles and mix it up!

6.  Enjoy an easy meal.
