Wednesday already! The week is flying by and I have so much to do. We had a busy weekend and our end of the week will be very busy too. It is no wonder I totally forgot to do Pinterest Saturday. We will be busy this weekend as well, so I thought I would share my pins today. Hope you don't mind.
I have been pinning away at all kinds of stuff, from organizing, yummy foods and oh my gosh, Christmas too. I refuse to post anything Christmas until after Halloween and that goes for my Pinterest page too. I have only liked Christmas so far. No commitment to the Pin board yet!
I know it may sound silly, but I am one of those people who can only handle one holiday at a time. I remember when stores did not put anything Christmas out until after Thanksgiving. Do you remember that too? I miss those days. To me, it makes the holiday much more special when you don't have 2 or 3 shoved in your face at the same time. One holiday at a time. That is my motto!
Okay, enough babbling! Here is what I pinned over the last week and a half. I am focusing on some great organizing pins. There are so many creative and very organized people out there with such great examples of how to keep your home and life in order. I hope these pins inspire you.
Enjoy the rest of your week and take some Time to Organize.

Movie Inventory
Yeah it's Friday! I have lots of things that I want to get done around here, but time just seems to be against me! Come on time, work with me. I did manage today to get done a little organizing project that I just thought of doing last night.
This week I have been working on putting together a Family Binder. It is going to take me alot longer than I thought it would to get it done. In the meantime, I am going to try and do some smaller organizing projects that will hopefully be quick and easy like what I did today.
I thought it would be nice to have an inventory of all our DVD's. We are always pulling down every box that houses our movies and going through them to determine what we want to watch. For mom and dad, this is a big pain. We keep the movies up high on our bookshelves so our youngest isn't always getting into them.
I put together three separate lists: Movies for Grown-ups, Kids Movies and Holiday Movies. Here is the Grown-Up list:
.
Lastly, I put the folder up on the shelf with our DVD boxes. Now we can just pull down the folder, pick what we want to watch and get the movie.
Quick and Easy! I love that kind of organizing. Have a great weekend and take some Time to Organize.

Next I placed colored dots on the outside of each DVD box.
I then put dots next to the movies on the list matching the color on the box.
Then, I put the lists into clear protective sleeves and placed inside a folder.
Lastly, I put the folder up on the shelf with our DVD boxes. Now we can just pull down the folder, pick what we want to watch and get the movie.
Quick and Easy! I love that kind of organizing. Have a great weekend and take some Time to Organize.

Pinterest Saturday
I hope everyone had a great week. We had some unexpected rain here and cooler temperatures. Always nice to have that kind of weather here. I really didn't do that much pinning this week. I am trying to go through and post the over 400 likes that I have.
I really do not have a theme or topic for this week. Just some random pinning. Enjoy!

Mod Podge Magazine Box
Hey out there! Hope everyone's Monday is going great. The weather is so awesome here and the kids have been outside off and on all day. Love it!
I decided last week that I wanted to re-arrange my son's room again. I just wasn't digging where everything was and how cluttered it always looked. So yesterday I cleared it out, cleaned it from top to bottom and rearranged his furniture. Over the next few months we will be painting his room and making it look more age appropriate. One of the things I could do right now was organize all of his magazines. He has so many with no where for them to go. I decided to make him a magazine box.
I thought I could cut out pictures from some of his magazines and Mod Podge them onto the box. This was my first time using the stuff and I think I did okay for an amateur. Here is what I did.
I took this old box and taped it up where it needed to be fixed.
Next, I started to place on the paper that we had cut out.
The only problem I seemed to have was dealing with how sticky the Mod Podge was on my hands. I had underestimated this amazing product.
Orange is going to be one of the color accents in his room, so I trimmed the top of the box with orange scrapbook paper. I had a hard time getting it even. I am okay with it considering this is the first time I am doing anything like this project.
The finished Magazine Box.
I liked using the Mod Podge and learned some things that I can implement on the next project using it. I had all of this stuff here and did not spend anything for this simple project.
I have said it in the past and will say it again. Organizing does not have to cost you alot of money. Just some time, effort and even a little bit of creativity can make organizing fun and easy to do!
Enjoy the rest of your beautiful Fall day and take some Time to Organize.

My son really liked how it turned out. Now his magazines are very organized in something that reflects what he likes.

Photo Books from Shutterfly
Happy October!!! We had rain, rain and more rain this weekend and than a cool front. Love this time of year. Doors and windows open aaaaallll day. Woo-hoo!
Okay, time to why I am here.
This weekend I finished putting together our Summer Book from Shutterfly. Shutterfly is an awesome site to upload photos and create just about anything you can from those photos. I have been playing with making their photo books for awhile and I just love how easy it is to put together a book.
They have a Simple Path with ready made layouts and if you want, all you do is upload your pictures and Shutterfly plugs them into a book for you! Pretty cool. You can also do your own Custom Path to make it just how you like. I did a Custom Path for our Summer Book and I love how it turned out. I cannot wait for it to show up so we can all sit down together and remember our summer fun.
If you do sign up with Shutterfly, they always have amazing choices and you will receive great deals from time to time especially if you use their site often.
Photo books are a great way to organize all those digital photos that you take. If you are like me, that is alot of photos! I still like to scrapbook but I have found that photo books are quick, easy and are reasonably priced. If you are not into scrapbooking at all, creating a photo book would be a great way to preserve and organize all those memories.
Shutterfly did not pay me to do this post. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
